Massage Therapist
I lived in Las Vegas,
Nevada for more than 45 years working several different
types of jobs. I worked very long and stressful hours
for 12 years at the Clark County District Attorney’s
Office in the Criminal prosecution section. I began to
have migraine headaches and decided that it was time for
a new career.
I discovered through a
massage therapy continuing education class that I wanted
to be a massage therapist. Learning there were no
massage therapy schools in Nevada, it meant going out of
state for schooling. I went to San Diego, CA, where I
spent one year earning my 1000 hour certification at the
School of Healing Arts. I studied Swedish, Deep Tissue,
Sports, Prenatal, Shiatsu and Chair massage. I am also
certified in Medical Massage and Lymphatic Drainage.
I Returned to Las
Vegas, Nevada where I first worked with the Desert Inn
Spa (now the Wynn Hotel) for one year, then for the
Mirage Hotel Spa for 9 years. I moved to Texas in 2001
just before 9/11. I have nine years of Chiropractic
experience. After 19 years plus as a massage therapist
I can say I am very happy with my career choice. I am
very happy to be here with Dr. Graves and Dr. Mize at
Graves Family Chiropractic.
